In August of 2019 a Wakulla County Citizen and (along with assistance from a former county employee) filed a ethics complaint against the Wakulla County Administrator by way of the Florida Commission on Ethics. The allegations were unfounded but, the underlying complaint revealed additional potential improprieties that the commission could not pursue due to being outside of the statute of limitations.

No guilt was found by the FCE, however, the complainant missed the statute of limitations on at least one of the commission's findings by less than a handful of days. Since this is a unelected position in charge and responsible for public funds (your taxpayer dollars), I felt it important to share with you the records that are publicly available to you under public records law in the State of Florida.

When public records requests are made, the furnishing entity redacts any statutorily exempt information. You may see additional redactions by us to protect any further information that we feel is personal, and put in the wrong hands, could be harassing to those involved. Wakulla Reports goal is not to publicly harass. It is to provide you with the publicly available information that many do not know how to obtain, so that you can make informed decisions and your voices heard. Mining records is sometimes time consuming, expensive (there are statutorily allowed fees) and even scary for some. The only task we perform is to bring you the public records so that you, too, can be informed.

The records for this particular subject are voluminous and can be found here.
